How to Set Up Your Trezor Hardware Wallet for the First Time

Setting up your Trezor wallet is simple and beginner-friendly. After unboxing your device (Model One or Model T), visit trezor.io/start. Connect your device via USB, and follow the prompts to install Trezor Suite, the official app that manages your crypto securely.

You'll then generate a 12- or 24-word recovery seed—write this down and never store it digitally. This is your backup if your device is lost or damaged. Trezor also gives you the option to set a PIN code to add extra protection.

Once initialized, you can use Trezor Suite to send, receive, and manage your coins securely. The interface is clean, supports portfolio tracking, and even includes features like labeling and address management.

Don’t skip the backup process. Your recovery seed is the only way to recover your funds. Store it offline in a fireproof location. If lost, no one—not even Trezor—can help recover your assets.
